HTrace WSGI in Ray-Traced Reflections
This module extends HTrace World Space Global Illumination (WSGI) with indirect lighting inside Unity HDRP's native ray-traced reflections. It is exclusive to Patreon.
Please keep in mind that this approach comes with trade-offs and may not be suitable for all projects.
Setup
- Download the HTrace WSGI package containing the Reflection module through Patreon and install it in your project. A new Reflection Indirect Lighting foldout should appear in the HTrace UI.
- Enable Unity's ray-traced reflections and set them to Performance mode.
- Set Indirect Evaluation Method in the HTrace UI to either Tracing or Approximation.

Indirect lighting is visible only within the first bounce of ray-traced reflections. Recursive bounces are not currently supported. For multiple bounces, consider reflection fallbacks such as the sky or reflection probes.
